Angus Reid - A Citizen's Guide to Political Polling

  • ArtSpring 100 Jackson Ave BC, V8K 2V8 Canada (map)

The Salt Spring Forum is delighted to welcome Angus Reid to ArtSpring.

Who better to have in discussion two weeks before the Federal election? Synonymous with polling in Canada, Dr. Reid knows everything there is to know about how electorates behave having spent more than four decades asking people what they think and feel about top social, governance and economic issues.

How accurate are opinion polls? Is there foreign influence in Canadian polling? What will polls tell us about the upcoming Federal election?

Dr. Reid is currently the Chair of the Angus Reid Institute, a not-for-profit, non-partisan public opinion research foundation, and just this year launched Angus Reid Global, a market research and opinion-polling firm serving the research intelligence needs of businesses and organizations across Canada.

He is the recipient of a Canada Council Doctoral Fellowship and was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Legends in 2010.

Who better indeed.

Tickets are available from the ArtSpring Box Office - 250-537-2102 and online, and from Salt Spring Books. $15 – 2019 Forum Members; $20 General Public. Students & low-income residents contact forum@saltspringforum.com
